Q – Where does the money I donate go?
A – The money you donate goes  to the Community Fund programs for Hall County Seniors for housing, food, health, utilities, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren – and more. None of it goes to the volunteers providing the service or to any Community Fund officer.

Q –When I use HMP I’m not sure how much to donate. Are there set amounts to donate for the jobs done?
A – The short answer is “Whatever the project is worth to you.”  HMP is not like automobile service centers that have ‘book hours’ for specific jobs regardless how long it takes.

Q – How do I know if the volunteer will get “credit” for the job or recognized?
A – That is easy. The online form found here, includes a place to indicate a tribute to the person(s) that did the work. Plus, a tracking log of all jobs records who is assigned to the project.

Q – Can my daughter in Gwinnett use HMP services even if I pay for her?
A – Sorry. No. HMP is a service only for Cresswind residents.

Q – Do I take business away from local small businesses or merchants?
A – Finding a local business to do most of the jobs done by HMP would be very difficult. Business don’t want to change lightbulbs, hang drapes, dig a hole for one plant, change batteries, etc. Some services might overlap with some individuals providing services, such as pressure washing, but those are minimal. ???

Q – Are there jobs / projects you won’t do? (What do you do and not do?)
A – Well… Yes. Anything requiring special equipment or requiring multiple days of service are best done by outside professionals. Sometimes one of our volunteers will see a job that is outside our scope and provide you a list of outside contractors that you can contact. Click here for a list of jobs that have been done and some that can’t be done.

Q – What if I have an Emergency? Like an alarm goes off. Who do I call?
